Board orders Nov. 4 elections, approves hazardous-conditions resolution and Student Code of Conduct
Summary
Trustees ordered a Nov. 4, 2025 general election for single-member districts 4 and 6, a special election for District 2, approved a joint-election contract with the county election officer, adopted the annual hazardous-conditions transportation resolution, and approved the Student Code of Conduct for 2025–26 — all by unanimous votes.
The Jourdanton ISD Board of Trustees took multiple procedural actions affecting elections, student transportation and conduct.
Trustees ordered a general election for single-member Districts 4 and 6 on Nov. 4, 2025, and also ordered a special election on Nov. 4 to fill the unexpired term for District 2. The board approved a Joint Election Service Contract with the Atascosa County Elections Officer to provide election services for those contests. Motions for the election orders and the joint contract were made by Trustee Nicole Rakowitz and seconded by Trustee Phillip Netardus (general and special elections) and Trustee Vance Jupe (joint contract); all motions passed 7–0.
The board also approved the Annual Resolution describing hazardous conditions for student transportation within two miles of schools and approved the Student Code of Conduct for the 2025–2026 school year. The hazardous-conditions resolution motion was made by Mike Castellano and seconded by Vance Jupe; the Student Code of Conduct motion was made by Phillip Netardus and seconded by Greg Vyvlecka. Both actions passed unanimously and were recorded in the minutes.
