He also warned that replacing curtain walls could require removal of marble and other materials that may break on removal.
The board asked for updated documentation from Landmark and Community Building Solutions and for an engineering test removal or sample section to better price the project. Commissioners discussed potential funding sources — the county building fund, lease-purchase arrangements, or bonds — and asked staff to find out what the current building fund balance is and whether smaller pilot work (one section) would be feasible before committing to a full project.
No formal vote was taken; staff were asked to follow up with updated costs, to confirm equipment ownership in the kitchen, and to return with options that protect remaining capital funds.
