Cleveland County Assessor's Office declares long list of equipment surplus, accepts bi-annual inventory

The Cleveland County Board of County Commissioners approved a Resolution for Declaration of Surplus and/or Disposing of Equipment for the Assessor's Office as part of the consent agenda on Dec. 1. The board also accepted the Assessor's Bi-Annual Inventory Report.
The minutes list numerous items marked surplus or junked, including office chairs and filing cabinets, computer systems and multiple Fujitsu desktop scanners acquired in 2020. The report contains entries with acquisition dates spanning 1991 through 2023, indicating the list includes both older office furniture and more recent electronic equipment. The motion to approve the consent items was moved by Commissioner Rod Cleveland and seconded by Commissioner Rusty Grissom and passed unanimously.
County Clerk records retain the full inventory detail and original-cost entries submitted with the resolution.
