City Manager highlights poverty simulation outreach and upcoming economic development workshop

City Manager Darin DeHaan used the Sept. 17 meeting to remind commissioners that information about a Poverty Simulation was circulated and to thank those who have responded. He said, if anyone would like to attend at a different location, "he will help facilitate the process," offering staff assistance to broaden participation.
DeHaan also said he is working on an economic development workshop and has invited an outside expert to speak to the economic development committee in October. The remarks were listed under "Other business" and no formal action or vote was taken on either item during the Sept. 17 meeting.
Chairman Mark Herman then moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:44 p.m.; Randy Cropp seconded and the motion carried with no nays.
