US Solar proposes community garden to give city 15% discount on municipal accounts

Brian Linzer of US Solar told the Council of the City of Oregon that the company is offering a community solar garden option for municipal accounts. "The program being offered to the city is for municipal owned accounts and will provide a fifteen percent discount through the life of the solar garden, about twenty years," Linzer said.
City officials received the presentation as an informational item; no motion or contract award was made during the Sept. 24 meeting. The council packet notes that the offering is optional for municipal participation and would require later review of contractual terms, customer enrollment procedures and financial modeling before staff would bring a recommendation back to the council.
