Council approves Elite Cruisers’ annual bicycle ride permit for Carver Park

Latrice Smith, president and co‑founder of Elite Cruisers Bicycle Club, told the council she expects roughly 200 participants for the club’s annual social ride and asked to use Carver Park as a designated food stop on Sept. 12, 2026, from about 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Smith described the ride as a short social route (roughly four to five miles) that starts and ends at Carver Park and asked permission for one caterer to serve participants in the park at the end of the ride. Council moved to approve the permit and the motion passed. “Thank you,” Smith said after the vote.
