Members present were Dr. Charles Randklev (President), John Birt, Joni Shaw Smith (Secretary), Micah Young, Chris Coker and Heather Washington (left at 6:00 PM); Chelsea Kelly was absent. Dr. Tracy Johnson was listed as Superintendent and Ali Williams as Board Counsel.
The agenda called for pledges, a prayer and the opportunity for audience with individuals; the minutes note that no individual requested an audience. The board convened into executive session to consider a Level 3 grievance under Texas Government Code §§551.071 and 551.074; the minutes record that Dr. Randklev recused himself from that deliberation. Upon reconvening at 3:10 PM, the board voted to deny the grievance (motion by Chris Coker, second by Joni Shaw Smith), recorded as 5-0 with one abstention.
The board also voted unanimously to nominate three candidates—Mike Alfred, Gary Losada and Vince Puente—to the Tarrant Appraisal District Board of Directors (motion by Chris Coker, second by Micah Young). The meeting was adjourned at 6:34 PM on a motion by Micah Young. The minutes were signed with Joni Shaw Smith identified as Secretary and Dr. Charles Randklev as President.
