Committee members recorded the decision during a meeting that began at 9:02 a.m.; Melanie Cozzi will lead outreach to businesses and committee members will prepare a draft template over the next month.
Committee members said they will rank categories within the pledge and set program goals that businesses can adopt. The approach is procedural and preparatory: members emphasized creating a practical, ranked template for implementation rather than adopting final standards at the Dec. 9 meeting. The committee plans to return with a draft template and recommended ranking methodology at a future meeting.
