The Weimar Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a districtwide compensation package for 2026–27 that raises the teacher base salary schedule by $1,250 and provides a 3% from-midpoint increase for administrative positions.
The plan also increases hourly pay by $1.75 for paraprofessionals, office support, custodians and cafeteria workers, and includes extra-duty stipends. The board approved a $2,000 performance stipend payable in November and a $1,500 retention stipend payable in July for employees who return for the 2027–28 school year. The compensation plan was approved on a motion by Brian Christen, seconded by Joni VanHouten; the board recorded unanimous yes votes from all seven trustees.
