Zoning Board denies Brandon Martin’s plan for large Route 14 storage buildings

Neighbor David Brandt told the board he believes the project "is not limited use" and argued boats and trailers are present much of the year; he and other residents urged the board to consider precedent and neighborhood impacts. Board members, including Chair Tom Johns and Steve Nesspor, said the proposed buildings were large and inconsistent with nearby properties and that a smaller building might be more appropriate. The board voted to deny the application; the minutes record a unanimous 'nay' vote by the four members and state the reasons for denial as inconsistency with the neighborhood and excessive size. After the vote, Tom Johns advised Martin to consult Code Enforcement Officer Kevin Druschel about next steps.
