Phil Leone asked the Zoning Board for a special use permit to create a seasonal RV/campsite at 8017 Margaretta Road. Leone told the board the site would bring more people into Sodus Point and that he did not plan transient use; he said he would provide a site plan, water-usage projections, and other engineering details. Board members reviewed a SEQR completed by the Planning Board and discussed water needs with the applicant before voting.
Chair Tom Johns said the use fits the land in that area and the board accepted the SEQR. Steve Nesspor moved to accept the SEQR and later moved to accept the application as drafted; both motions passed unanimously. Leone estimated, barring weather delays, that the project would take about a year to complete from engineering to finish.
