Anne Haehn, the district chief financial officer, presented an overview of the draft 2025–26 budget and summarized key elements of HB2 as they could affect Lake Dallas ISD. Haehn described proposals in HB2 that would increase the basic allotment per student, enable salary increases, increase funding weights for special education students and raise CCMR (career/college/military readiness) outcomes bonuses.
The board received the presentation as information; no budget adoption or vote occurred at the workshop. Haehn indicated the district will continue modeling the fiscal effects of HB2 and return to the board with recommended budget actions during the formal budget process.
