Staff said the revisions are intended to better reflect transaction costs, align with a revised special-events framework, adjust airport after-hours fees and convert the library multi-purpose room rental from a daily to an hourly rate to meet community usage patterns.
During the public hearing, Celeste Meyeres asked whether Kane County events would be charged a fee. Staff clarified that government entities may request a fee waiver through the established process. Councilmember Corry moved to approve the ordinance and the motion passed with no dissent among members present.
