The resolution cites the Commissioner of the New York State Education Department regulations (section 200.5(j)(3)(ii)), Board Policy 4321.4 (Selection and Appointment of an Impartial Hearing Officer), and Part 200.21 as amended by NYSED Policy 01-11. The motion to approve the appointment carried unanimously, and the resolution authorizes the board president or vice president and/or superintendent to effectuate impartial hearing officer appointments going forward.
