City Manager Kyler Ludwig told the Kanab City Council the proposed FY2026 budget amendment increases budget authority "to reflect actual and anticipated revenues and expenditures through fiscal year-end," while stressing the amendment does not by itself commit the city to new spending.
Councilmember Banks moved to adopt Resolution 6-5-26 R and Councilmember Shrope seconded; the resolution was adopted with recorded 'Yes' votes and one absent member. The amendment adjusts the city's fiscal-year authority so staff can manage cash flow and comply with fund-balance requirements if expenditures occur before year-end.
