The Chazy Union Free School District Board of Education on May 19 certified the results of the district’s annual budget vote and election, accepting totals recorded by the district’s tellers and Inspector of Elections. The board recorded Proposition 1 (budget) as passing 198–101 and Proposition 2 (library) as passing 221–77, with 303 total ballots cast.
Jason Bruce and Craig Giroux were listed among the candidate tallies: Bruce received 235 votes and Giroux 260 votes for four-year board terms beginning July 1, 2026. The Chazy Public Library trustee vote showed Gloria Ladue with 262 votes for the five-year term. Board president Jason Bruce announced the appointed tellers — Diane Trombly, Beverly Bechard, Lisa Bulriss, Kim Howley, Maggie Ryan, Laurie Miller and Jill Beeman — and named Nancy Vesco as Inspector of Elections and Joey Trombley as chairperson of the Budget Vote meeting. The board moved to accept and approve the results as presented.
