La Porte ISD honors All-State student musicians and All-State dancer; proclaims National School Counseling Week

La Porte High School students Evan Halbardier (French horn), Santiago Ballesteros (percussion), and Richard Ortegon (trumpet) were recognized for earning All-State honors from the Texas Music Educators Association after a multi-stage audition process.
The Board also marked Feb. 3–7 as National School Counseling Week, acknowledging the role of school counselors in supporting student success, career planning, and social-emotional well-being across elementary, secondary and district levels. AO1 Roofing was recognized as a Partner in Education supporting La Porte Elementary, and the La Porte Education Foundation was acknowledged for awarding 20 Share the Love mini-grants of up to $250 each to teachers.
