Superintendent Robert McAuliffe delivered a budget update and routine school reports at the April 14 meeting, summarizing extracurricular participation and program development across the district.
McAuliffe said he is "finalizing the Pre-K stipend position with CTA MOA" and is "working on the contract with CASP." He reported that "so far, there are 8 students wanting to be in the program." Elementary Principal Krista Ringer thanked the PTO for support of K–3 activities and told the board that "Currently we have 25 students registered" for kindergarten; kindergarten registration was open through April 17, 2026.
Reports to the board also noted strong volunteer participation in the Running Club, spring sports beginning (softball, baseball, track, lacrosse), Senior Class Day speaker selection (a tie between two students), and recent student trips including a visit to the Wild Center and a Mobile Museum of Tolerance attended by seniors and leadership students.
