Dr. Bryce Creamer and Dr. Rachel Roberts emphasized warm-up activation over static stretching, recommending quick low-height hops, calf-strength progressions and weighted carries to prime tissues for impact and directional change. They advised beginning with light introduction drills, then progressing to more challenging patterns as tolerance improves.
"This is a good one for balance and agility," Dr. Creamer said of the quick hops and activation drills, noting that small, rapid jumps help muscles and tendons react to ground forces. Presenters also recommended farmer's carries and suitcase carries to strengthen shoulders and grip, which can reduce stress on elbow tendons.
