The Village of Sodus Point Planning Board on Feb. 3 approved a final site plan permitting the demolition of three out-of-compliance structures and construction of a new home at 8512 Greig Street. Applicant Bob Straubing presented the application for a complete rebuild on the parcel; the board discussed compliance issues and the CEO confirmed outstanding items had been resolved.
Chair Bruce Evener commented that "the new structure should be beautiful," and CEO Kevin Druschel told the board that the previously noted issues had been addressed. Bill Kedley moved to approve the final site plan, William McKee seconded the motion. The motion was recorded as passing with votes: Evener—aye; Kedley—aye; McKee—nay; Fogarty—aye. The board record contains a conflicting phrasing that the motion "passed unanimously" earlier in the minutes; the recorded vote above is the controlling vote tally.
