The Village Board adopted Resolution 2024-12b authorizing the Clerk-Treasurer to relevy unpaid water and sewer rent accounts plus accrued penalties onto the 2024–2025 village tax levy due June 2025, pursuant to New York State Village Law §11-1118 and General Municipal Law §452. The resolution states the action is effective immediately and was adopted unanimously.
Separately, by Resolution 2024-12c the board requested that Wayne County collect delinquent Village Taxes for the 2025–2026 year pursuant to Wayne County Local Law #4-1978 and Real Property Tax Law §1442, and directed the Clerk/Treasurer to send certified copies of the resolution and the required account certification to the Wayne County Treasurer. Both measures were recorded as passed "all voting aye."
