Sodus Point board sets meeting calendar and tightens minutes requirements

The Village of Sodus Point Board of Trustees voted Dec. 19 to schedule regular board meetings for the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m., with agendas prepared by the Clerk at the Mayor's direction and materials due to the Mayor/Clerk by Friday at noon. Trustee Laurie Verbridge moved the schedule and the motion carried unanimously.
The board also adopted a minutes policy specifying what must be recorded in meeting minutes (board name, date/place/time, attendance, record of motions and votes, communications and reports, and adjournment time) and stating that minutes "shall not include summary of discussion leading to action or include verbatim, Comments." The minutes will be accepted at the next meeting.
