Lake Dallas High School students earn TMEA All‑State choir spots — a first for district

Laura Jenkins, Lake Dallas High School choir director, told the Board of Trustees that two LDHS students earned placement into a TMEA All‑State Choir: Aidan Arredondo (bass) and Olivia Reyes (alto).
"This is the first time in Lake Dallas ISD history that the choir has had membership in a TMEA All‑State Choir," Jenkins said, and the board publicly recognized the students during the meeting's student-success segment. The board acknowledged the choir students leading the pledges at the start of the meeting.
The recognition was presented as part of the student- and staff-recognition portion of the agenda; no additional actions or funding requests related to the choir were recorded in the minutes.
