La Porte ISD announces new facilities manager and deputy superintendent

Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson introduced two administrative appointments during the board's March 11 meeting. He announced Sam Zaborowski as the district's new Manager of District Facilities and Events; Zaborowski previously taught career and technical education in audio-visual production at La Porte High School and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.
Dr. Jackson also introduced Dr. Bobby Martinez as the new Deputy Superintendent of Administration and Support Services. Martinez brings 17 years of educational leadership experience, most recently as Associate Superintendent of Secondary Education in Alvin ISD, and holds degrees from Texas State University, the University of St. Thomas and a doctorate in Professional Leadership from the University of Houston. The appointments were presented as part of the administrative reports.
