La Porte ISD board approves consent agenda, declares unopposed trustees elected and cancels May election

The La Porte Independent School District Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda on March 11, 2025, voting 7–0 to adopt a package of routine items that included minutes, principal reports, financial statements and personnel recommendations. Trustee Russell Schoppe moved to approve the consent agenda, and Trustee Mason Peres seconded; the motion passed by a vote of 7 to 0.
Included in the consent agenda was Resolution No. 2025-03, "Declaring Unopposed Candidates Elected and Canceling the May 3, 2025 General Trustee Election," which the board adopted as part of the package. The consent list also included a budget amendment, approval of purchase orders such as library books, and an interlocal printing services agreement with Pasadena ISD. The board recorded no dissenting votes on any consent items.
