At a special meeting April 29 at Miller Language Academy, the Lake Worth ISD Board of Trustees approved sending three applicants on to second-round interviews for the district superintendent position for the 2025–2026 school year. "approve 3 applicants for second round interviews for the position of Superintendent of Lake Worth ISD for the 2025-2026 school year," the minutes record as the motion that passed.
Trustee Cristina Gallagher moved the motion and Trustee Bret Tooke seconded; the board voted 7–0 in favor. The minutes list Trustees Bret Tooke, Cristina Gallagher, Mac Belmontes, Armando Velazquez, Sonja Norman, Tammy Thomas and Cindy Burt as present at the meeting, establishing a quorum.
