Lake Travis ISD students recognized for GARSEF, Scholastic Art, UIL competitions

The district recognized dozens of Lake Travis ISD students and programs for achievements at the Greater Austin Regional Science and Engineering Fair (Feb. 22), Scholastic Art & Writing Awards (regional medalists, one National Silver Key), UIL Solo-Ensemble qualifiers, and Winterguard/athletics competitions.
Lake Travis ISD used the April 16 meeting to highlight student achievement across STEM, visual and performing arts, and athletics. The minutes list individual GARSEF winners from Lakeway Elementary, Serene Hills Elementary and others (for example, Daniel Radchenko Avondo — 1st Place; Lilah Carroll — 1st Place; Michael McGrath — 1st Place) and note that GARSEF was held Feb. 22 at the Palmer Events Center.
The board also noted Scholastic Art & Writing Awards regional medalists from Lake Travis High School and Bee Cave Middle School, and that Claire Richardson earned a National Silver Key. UIL Solo‑Ensemble and Winterguard state and regional results and state qualifiers for swimming and women's soccer were listed. These recognitions were informational and presented to celebrate student accomplishments across the district.
