The board spent part of its March 24 meeting recognizing student and staff achievements across the district.
Highlights included six LDHS students named Texas Theatre Scholars (announced by Melissa Shamp, LDHS Theatre Director); Sophia Dunn's acceptance into the TAEA Youth Art Month exhibition at the Bullock Texas State History Museum (announced by Jeanette Murray); April Groover's win in the Denco Area 9-1-1 art contest (Jessica Bovan, Corinth Elementary principal); multiple TAFE competitive results and college signings (presented by Gina Minassian); and a summary of the LDHS girls basketball team's accomplishments (Coach Jordan Davis) including a 23–11 overall record and district awards. The board also recognized campus Teachers of the Year, paraprofessionals of the year and employees of the month for February and March.
