Toward the end of the meeting resident Jim Lawrence presented his personal mobility device to council and urged officials to consider the safety implications of requiring such devices to operate on public roadways.
Lawrence told the committee that operating mobility devices on roads such as Schaaf Road could create safety risks for users and asked council to factor that into any decisions. Councilman Berzins and Law Director Mason reminded Lawrence that the meeting had been advertised to discuss speed cameras and that, under the Ohio Open Meetings Act, discussion outside the advertised agenda should be limited; Lawrence was given two minutes to speak.
