At the start of the Aug. 11 meeting, the Community Redevelopment Agency administered the oath of office to Hannah Carnes, who pledged to support and defend the constitutions of the United States and Florida and to faithfully perform the duties of a CRA board member.
Carnes recited the oath in full: “I, Hannah Carnes, do solemnly swear to support, protect, and defend the constitution and government of The United States and the state of Florida…that I will faithfully perform all the duties of office of community redevelopment agency for the city of Titusville on which I am about to enter.” The mayor recorded the swearing‑in and congratulated Carnes as the newest CRA member.
Carnes subsequently participated in board proceedings that evening, including discussion of a commercial beautification grant application and the subsequent roll‑call vote. The board approved the prior meeting minutes and later moved to adjourn after the evening’s business.
