Board certifies instructional materials allotment and TEKS coverage for 2025–26

Director Donna Pugh presented the Instructional Materials Allotment and TEKS Certification required by the Texas Education Code. She explained that district leaders certify materials cover the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEC §28.002) and that the allotment is used only for allowable TEC §31.0211 expenses. Trustee Matt Buxkemper moved to approve the certification for 2025–2026 as mandated by TEA, Trustee Kay Franklin seconded, and the motion passed unopposed.
The board's certification affirms the district will provide, upon request, titles and publication information to the State Board of Education as required under statute.
