The Levelland ISD Board of Trustees approved an Open Educational Resources (OER) Transition Plan for Bluebonnet Learning instructional materials, a step the administration said is required to access entitlement funding under state rules.
Director of Curriculum & Special Programs Donna Pugh presented the plan, telling trustees the OER Transition Plan complies with Texas Administrative Code —7.1315 and Texas Education Code —48.308. The plan will permit the district to secure bids exceeding $50,000 at the April board meeting so materials can be purchased in April and arrive in June or July for campus distribution before the start of the school year.
