Minong updates Transfer Station signs to add 'No fish carcass' and 'No paint, no gas and no oil'

The Town of Minong Board approved edits to Transfer Station signage at its June 8 meeting after the Minong Area Disposal Committee circulated draft disposal rules to member municipalities.
Supervisor Dean Patrick reported the committee's draft rules; board member Joe Radzak moved to change sign item 7 to read "No fish carcass" and to add sign item 11, "No paint, no gas and no oil." The motion carried.
Patrick also reported that the Transfer Station workgroup is continuing to explore ways to make the facility self-sustaining; no financial decisions were made at the meeting.
