Minong approves TextMyGov agreement after negotiation on term and fees

Town board members said they negotiated more favorable terms for the TextMyGov contract before approving it at the June 8 meeting. The minutes record an all-in amount of $2,000 per year for three years plus the $500 setup fee.
Supervisor Dean Patrick amended his motion to specify payment timing: $2,500 for the first 18 months, then $2,000 per year for the next two years, with a cap of no more than 2.5% annual increases beginning in 2030, provided the service is unlimited texting. The motion carried; the board approved the agreement subject to J. Radzak and S. Conaway confirming the unlimited texting condition.
The board conditioned final approval on staff confirmation of the unlimited-service provision and the negotiated price schedule; pending that confirmation, the contract will proceed as negotiated.
