Minong board amends nuisance ordinance language on vehicles

The Town of Minong Board voted on June 8 to amend Nuisance Properties Ordinance 2024-06 to clarify the vehicle clause in Section 4, letter N. Supervisor Dean Patrick moved the change and amended his motion to make the revision effective immediately after the July 13, 2026 meeting; the motion carried.
The board sought to clarify the list of prohibited vehicle conditions by inserting a comma so the passage reads, as recorded in the minutes, "The storage of disassembled, inoperable, unlicensed, junked or wrecked motor vehicles, . . ." The amendment is procedural and addresses ordinance punctuation and phrasing rather than adding new prohibitions or penalties.
Board members did not add further substantive changes to the ordinance during the meeting; the revised wording will take effect following the July 13 meeting as specified by the motion.
The change will be incorporated into the town ordinance text and posted as required for municipal code updates.
