The Saratoga Springs Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval for Riders Station Phase 1, a three-building commercial development at 1193 West Fairfield Road, during its April 30 meeting.
Senior Planner Austin Roy summarized the plan as Phase 1 of three: two 9,000-square-foot buildings and one 6,000-square-foot building on 3.48 acres, each proposed at 19 feet, 6 inches in height. Roy noted a 130-foot transmission line easement along the east edge of the site that constrains landscaping and structures within that corridor.
Applicant Adam Hurd of BlackSpire Capital Group said the drive-thru space in Phase 1 has been leased to Sodalicious. Commissioner Scott A. Hill said he reviewed the transportation analysis and was comfortable with the plans.
Commissioner Virginia Rae Mann moved to forward a recommendation for approval of the preliminary plat and site plan with the findings and conditions in the staff report; Commissioner Chris Roman seconded. The motion passed 6-0.
