Lubbock ISD says campuses completed required drills this semester

Shane Anderson, Committee Chairman and Director of School Safety and Security for Lubbock Independent School District, opened the meeting by reporting that "the district is one hundred percent on drills for this semester." He said the safety & security department observes and tracks drills centrally and praised campuses for conducting fire, lockdown, secure, hold and shelter-for-severe-weather drills during the first semester.
Anderson also described SRP badges the district provides for staff and students that can be worn with ID badges "to easily identify what each SRP icon means during a drill or real emergency." The committee did not take formal action on the drill report; members used the item to confirm training status and district oversight processes.
