The City of Oak Forest Committee of the Whole convened on July 14, 2026; Mayor Jim Hortsman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the clerk recorded roll call. The minutes list present alderpersons as Keeler, McCarthy, Kunz, Emmett and Vetter; Alderpersons Wolf and Stuewe were recorded as absent.
Alderperson Emmett moved that the body adjourn the open meeting so it could hold an executive session; Alderperson Kunz seconded. City Administrator Moses Amidei stated on the record that the executive session was for "Collective Bargaining purposes (5 ILCS 120/2(c) (2))." The roll-call vote was recorded as carrying 5–0 with two members absent. Executive Session began at 7:03 p.m.; the minutes show the Committee reconvened into Open Session at 7:22 p.m. and adjourned at 7:24 p.m. The minutes note no citizen participation and list no items of old or new business discussed in open session.
