Senior Planner Austin Roy presented a city-initiated amendment to Chapter 19.02 of the Land Development Code to add a definition for the term "loading bay." Staff said the definition will clarify when a previously discussed exception for building buffers applies and prevent inconsistent interpretations during site-plan review.
Commissioner Colton Miles said he appreciated the clarifications, noting they would benefit applicants, staff and residents. The Planning Commission voted unanimously to forward a recommendation for approval to City Council. The amendment will be scheduled for Council review as part of the city's code amendment process.
