Planning Commission approves preliminary plat for North Lake Meadows Phase 2

The Commission unanimously approved the Meadows at North Lake 2 preliminary plat, a 5.962-acre subdivision annexed from Lehi proposing 19 single-family lots with minimum lot size of 9,000 sq ft; one remaining open-space item will be resolved by a pending City Council code amendment.
The Saratoga Springs Planning Commission on March 26 unanimously approved a preliminary plat for the Meadows at North Lake 2 subdivision at 145 North 1700 West, a 5.962-acre parcel recently annexed from Lehi City. Planner II Sam Stout told the Commission the plat proposes 19 lots with a minimum lot size of 9,000 square feet and that engineering review found fencing, grading and drainage in compliance with city standards.
Applicant Keaton Morton attended and thanked staff for their support during the process. Commissioner Scott A. Hill asked specifically about fencing, grading and compliance; Stout said engineering had reviewed those items and that “those items were in compliance.” Commissioners also discussed an outstanding open-space amenity point issue that Stout said will be addressed through a code amendment to be considered by City Council. Commissioner Doug Willden moved approval with the findings and conditions in the staff report; Commissioner Chris Roman seconded. The motion passed 6-0 (Virginia Rae Mann absent).
