The Moulton City Council on June 10 approved its consent agenda, which included the city’s May 2025 cash position, profit and loss, paid invoices, minutes from the May 13, 2025 regular meeting, utility reports, police reports and municipal court reports. Mayor Pro Tem Craig Hughes moved to approve the consent agenda and Councilmember Roberta Mejias seconded; the motion carried 5-0.
The unanimous votes at the meeting extended beyond the consent items. Subsequent motions that passed 5-0 included approval of a $2,200 Hotel Tax expenditure to publish the Moulton Newcomers Guide 2025, an engagement letter with Paul B. Holm & Company for the 2024/2025 financial audit, the TML Health Benefits Pool 2025–2026 renewal verification, professional services and advisory contracts tied to a TWDB CWRSF project, and a School Resource Officer contract with Moulton ISD for 2025–2026. These results were entered into the minutes as recorded motions and seconders.
