Mayor Brad Hyman read a statement notifying the public that the council published a notice of intent to consider passage of one or more ordinances authorizing issuance of certificates of obligation not to exceed ONE MILLION SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,075,000) to pay contractual obligations for improving and extending the city's waterworks and sewer system, including acquisition of land and rights‑of‑way and related professional services.
Hyman said the council will consider the item at a called meeting on Feb. 13, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. The notice clarifies that the certificates would be payable from ad valorem taxes and a pledge of surplus waterworks and sewer revenues; the council did not vote on issuance at this meeting.
