At the May 18 meeting Shirley Dickerson, chief appraiser with the Titus County Appraisal District, provided a presentation to the board (a printed handout was supplied to trustees). The minutes do not include the presentation text but record the appraisal district presentation as part of recognitions and community partnerships.
The board recognized Mount Pleasant High School students who advanced to state competitions: members of the MPHS Rodeo Team qualified for state competition, and MPHS art students earned advancement to the state level of the Texas Art Education Association Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE), with several state medals and one student earning a gold seal award. The recognitions were recorded under presentations/recognitions in the minutes.
