Residents and council members raised multiple site-specific concerns about the 140th Street & Utility Improvements project. Council Member Ben Radcliffe reported he had spoken with the property owner at 24095 and 24100 140th Street and directed that a large backhoe cease pushing materials across newly completed pavement. The council discussed damage caused by construction-worker parking and the temporary mailbox/dumpster locations and said those areas should be restored as part of the project.
Engineer Derek Behrens told the council that the remaining approximately 10 feet of sidewalk near the pumphouse was delayed because broadband and cable providers still needed to complete work on their pedestals; he said the sidewalk would be completed once that work is finished. Council did not take formal action; staff and engineer will coordinate restoration and schedule completion.
