The council held a public hearing on proposed amendments to the 2017 Zoning Ordinance intended to add regulations for accessory dwelling units (ADUs), adjust variance standards, change publication-notice requirements, and remove 'guest house' from the code. Mayor Pro Tem Ben Radcliffe noted the revisions were mainly legislative updates to bring the code into compliance.
After hearing no substantive written or verbal opposition, Council approved the first reading of Ordinance No. 234. Rick moved and Madagan seconded the motion; the vote was Ayes — Rick, Madagan, Radcliffe, Kilpatrick and Evans (5-0). The ordinance proceeds to a future meeting for second reading and potential adoption.
