Mayor Pro Tem Ben Radcliffe opened a public hearing on the proposed Comprehensive Land Use Plan 2046 and invited written and verbal comments. Resident Joe Vanderlaan asked whether some east-side properties on 252nd Avenue were included in the city limits; the hearing record showed no written communications for or against the plan.
After closing the hearing, the council voted to adopt Resolution No. 2026-26 approving the Comprehensive Land Use Plan 2046 with corrections. Rick moved and Madagan seconded the motion; the vote was recorded as Ayes — Rick, Madagan, Radcliffe, Evans and Kilpatrick, 5-0. The plan will guide land-use decisions and inform future zoning and project reviews in Orleans.
