Board canvasses Nov. 4 results; three trustees named and officers elected

Mount Enterprise Independent School District officials canvassed the Nov. 4, 2025 school board election and confirmed vote totals, naming Regina Rysinger (148 votes), Travis Owens (125) and Holly Henderson (110) as the three candidates filling open seats.
Superintendent Dr. Mays read the results and instructed that the three trustees be sworn in: "So the 3 people that would receive the open seats would be Regina Risinger, Travis Owens, and Holly Henderson," he said. After canvass, the board held nominations and elected officers for the year; the clerk read the votes that confirmed Regina Riesinger as president and Don Rogers as vice president. Motions to close nominations and to elect officers were made and carried by voice vote as read by the clerk.
The reorganization continues a transition following the recent election; trustees also discussed scheduling for required board trainings and board business following the officer elections. No contested challenges to canvass results were recorded on the transcript; the board proceeded to take up regular agenda items.
