The Mount Enterprise City Council voted to approve Stokes & Associates as the recommended firm to negotiate engineering services tied to the city's 2025–2026 Texas Department of Agriculture TxCDBG grant application. The selection follows the Selection Review Committee's recommendation and was approved by motion. "Upon a motion made by Councilmember Swann and seconded by Councilmember Cox, the council voted (5) 'ayes' and zero (0) 'nays' to approve Stokes & Associates," the minutes record.
Council members did not record dissent during the vote. The approval authorizes city staff to enter negotiation of a contract with Stokes & Associates for application preparation and implementation if the TxCDBG award is granted.
