The Mount Enterprise City Council on Sept. 24 advanced multiple decisions related to the new city hall renovation while postponing a final decision on landscaping. Councilmember Jacob Waldron moved to postpone the landscaping decision pending more information; Councilmember Mary Jo Baird seconded the motion and the council voted five "ayes" and zero "nays" to carry the motion.
During the same renovation discussion the council approved several vendor and design choices: they selected Monday Sign Service and the aluminum sign option, agreed to a professional restriping service, authorized custom tint and design work, and approved purchasing a basketball goal from a vendor identified as Johnny. The minutes record that sound system decisions were postponed. The council did not record any dissenting votes or amendments; final landscaping direction will return to a future agenda for more information.
