Ray, representing Warren County Building/Zoning, presented a package of proposed zoning text amendments during a work session on Aug. 11. The items included criteria to allow data centers with conditions, adding notice to administrative hearings for adjacent owners, removing telecommunication facilities from the parks and recreation district, clarifying ground‑mounted solar locations, and establishing the number of secondary dwelling units permitted per lot, among other drafting changes.
Commissioners agreed that given the significance of the data‑center discussion and the absence of one commissioner (who had to leave for a funeral), they preferred to defer initiation of the formal amendment process until all three members could be present to provide direction. Ray and staff will return with the amendments for formal initiation after the full board can convene.
